Kupid AI is a browser-based AI girlfriend (and boyfriend) app. You chat with ready-made realistic or anime characters, or build your own, and you can get photos, short videos and voice messages from them. The free account stops at 15 messages. Pro is priced by the week: $12.99 a week, $79 for three months or $179 for a year. It includes 100 coins a week for media. The annual plan works out at about $15 a month, while paying weekly costs over $56 a month. So if you stay more than a few weeks, the weekly option is the expensive way in. And read the refund section before paying, because Kupid’s pages don’t agree with each other.
Disclosure: the “Visit Kupid AI” button is an affiliate link. If you subscribe through it, I earn a commission and you pay the same price. No tool pays to be listed or ranked here.
Prices and policies checked on 26 October 2026 on kupid.ai (subscription pages, Terms of Service dated 10/08/2026 and Privacy Policy). They change often, so check the checkout page before you pay.
Kupid AI pricing at a glance
| Plan | 1 week | 3 months | 12 months | Coins included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $12.99 | $79 | $179 (about $3.44/week) | 100 a week |
| Ultra | $24.99 | $149 | $299 (about $5.75/week) | 300 a week |
There is also a Lifetime option at $777 with 800 coins.
The pricing page runs a countdown banner (“Autumn Discount 75% Off”) and shows crossed-out “original” prices. Judge the plans on the prices in the table, not on the size of the discount.
Payment options include cards, crypto (USDT, ETH, Solana and others) and Alipay.
What the free plan gets you
Kupid’s plan comparison gives free users:
- 15 messages;
- 1 custom character;
- one free image generation when you sign up.
The privacy policy describes it the same way: “a free test of a few messages”, then you’re asked to register. Photos, videos and voice messages are paid features. As a test, it lets you check the interface and the characters, not much more.
Paid plans add:
| Pro | Ultra | |
|---|---|---|
| Photos per week | 25 | 75 |
| Videos per week | 8 | 25 |
| Voice messages per week | 12 minutes | 35 minutes |
| Chat memory | last 30 messages | last 100 messages |
| Custom characters | 4 | 8 |
Ultra also gets faster replies and a higher place in the generation queue. Pro can put up to three of your characters in one image.
How coins work
Kupid says it plainly at checkout: “Images, video and voice always work with coins”. Pro includes 100 coins a week and Ultra 300. Chat itself is unlimited on paid plans.
What a week of coins buys
The weekly photo, video and voice numbers in the table above are what Pro’s 100 coins translate into. Kupid doesn’t publish a coin price per photo, video or minute of voice on its public pages. Extra coin packs exist, but only subscribers can buy them, and the prices are shown after login.
When coins expire
This part is clear, and it’s in the Terms of Service:
- coins that come with a subscription, plus free and promotional coins, expire six months after they’re credited;
- coins you buy in packs don’t expire;
- coins have no cash value and can’t be transferred;
- when you spend coins, the ones closest to expiring go first.
Renewals and refunds: the site contradicts itself
This is the section to read before paying, because Kupid’s own pages don’t agree.
On renewals:
- the subscription page says “100% anonymous. One payment, nothing renews.”, and a checkout variant says “One payment, no hidden fees, nothing renews by itself”;
- the Terms of Service, on the other hand, tell you to email support “if you would like to cancel your subscription from rebilling”;
- the account area has a cancellation flow with a renewal date (“Subscription will renew on…”).
Assume the plan renews unless you confirm otherwise at checkout.
On refunds:
- the Terms are strict: “All sales of digital products are final and non-refundable”, and “We do not offer refunds, returns or cancellations for any subscriptions, accessed or used after purchase”;
- some checkout screens, however, mention a “30 days moneyback guarantee”.
If the two conflict, the Terms are what Kupid will point to, so I’d assume no refunds.
Cancelling: you can cancel from your account. Expect retention offers along the way (a discounted or free extra week). After you cancel you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. You can also email support@kupid.ai.
On your statement: the charge shows as “Kupid AI”, according to the notice at checkout.
Who you’re paying: the site doesn’t name a company. The Terms are governed by the law of Malta.
What you get beyond chat
- Ready-made characters: realistic and anime, with a name, an adult age and a short bio on each profile. Male characters are available too.
- Character builder: appearance, outfit and personality, with 1 to 8 custom characters depending on plan.
- Image generator (“Studio”): generate pictures of your characters, up to three in one image on Pro.
- Photos, videos and voice messages inside the chat, paid in coins.
- Web app: you install it from the browser. The footer offers free pictures for installing it.
Privacy and safety
- Retention is long: the Privacy Policy says Kupid usually keeps your personal information for six years after you stop being a user. The policy is dated 02/05/2023 and still contains template leftovers, including another company’s name (“Usway”), which doesn’t inspire confidence.
- Chats and training: the FAQ says conversations are encrypted, but neither the Privacy Policy nor the Terms say whether chats are used to train AI models.
- Moderation: chats are “typically confidential”, but automated moderation scans them, and flagged content can be reviewed manually and lead to suspension.
- Don’t overshare: the Terms themselves advise against sharing financial details, addresses or passwords with the characters, because Kupid “cannot guarantee the security of information shared during interactions”.
- Content rules: the service is 18+ only, and the Terms say all characters and generated content are fictional. Unlike some competitors, Kupid doesn’t publish a separate blocked-content policy that spells out what’s banned.
- Scope of this review: some of Kupid AI’s category labels lean on age-related themes; I only cover adult, original characters here, and the platform requires every character to be 18+.
Who Kupid AI is for, and who should skip it
It makes sense if you already know you’ll use it for months and pay the annual price: $179 a year with 100 coins a week is reasonable for chat plus regular photos.
Skip it, or be careful, if you plan to “try it for a week”. At $12.99 a week, a month costs more than most monthly plans elsewhere, and the Terms say purchases aren’t refundable. The six-year data retention is also longer than you’d want for an app like this.
