OurDream AI Review: What You Actually Pay For

OurDream AI is a browser-based AI companion and roleplay platform: you chat with characters you create or ones other users have published, and you can generate images, short videos and voice calls with them. It costs $19.99 a month, or $119.88 a year ($9.99 a month), and both plans include unlimited chat plus 1,000 dreamcoins a month for images, video and voice. Without a subscription you can’t generate images or videos at all. If you cancel, everything you’ve generated gets blurred until you subscribe again. The annual plan is good value if you’re sure you’ll stay; otherwise start monthly.

The help center and the homepage FAQ give the same prices, and both plans include unlimited messages with any character plus image and video generation. On the annual plan you pay the whole $119.88 up front and aren’t charged again for 12 months. Coins are credited on your renewal date, at 2pm US Eastern time.

Extra dreamcoins can be bought only while you have an active subscription. PayPal isn’t accepted. Cards and crypto are, and crypto payments can’t be refunded.

What you get without paying (very little)

According to the help center:

No images or videos. “You need a subscription to generate images and videos.” The homepage still talks about a “free AI porn generator”, but the help center is clear on this.
Chat costs coins. For free users every message costs 1 dreamcoin.
No free coins, except through contests on OurDream’s Discord server.
You can’t buy coins without a subscription.

So a free account is for browsing characters and the interface, not for trying the product. The real choice is monthly or annual.

What 1,000 coins a month means in practice: about 200 images in chat, or 20 minutes of voice calls, or 50 seconds of standard video. The homepage says the monthly coins cover “all your needs including videos”. That’s true for a few short clips, but not if video is the main thing you want.

Community packs (all of one character’s images and videos, including future ones) are listed at 250, 750 or 1,000 coins in one article and at a flat 1,000 in another.

Failed generations are refunded in coins automatically, including generations blocked by the content filter.

Do coins expire? The help center contradicts itself

One help article says “Coins do not expire!” when a subscription ends. The cancellation article says unused coins stay in your account until the billing period ends, and that a new subscription after cancelling doesn’t restore previous unused coins. Until OurDream clarifies, assume you’ll lose unused coins if you cancel and come back later.

Refunds and cancelling: read this before you pay

The 25% rule: the help center says OurDream can’t refund a product once more than 25% of it has been used. Monthly subscriptions can’t be refunded if the coins have been used. Annual subscriptions “may be eligible” for a full or partial refund.
Quality guarantee: the Refund Policy (last modified 9 March 2026) lets you report a defect or a service “significantly different from its description” within 14 days of purchase. OurDream then decides whether to offer a credit, a fix or a refund.
EU, UK and Swiss users have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive. The Refund Policy warns you may lose it once you start using the service and the digital content has been fully provided.
Crypto payments are final.
Refunds remove your coins. After a refund, unused dreamcoins are removed and your images and videos are blurred.
Chargebacks: filing one without contacting support first can get your account suspended.
How to ask: use “Request Help” on your profile page with the product, date, amount and reason, or email support@ourdream.ai. Card refunds take 5–10 business days once approved.

To cancel: ourdream.ai/profile → “Cancel subscription” → confirm. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and cancelling doesn’t trigger an automatic refund.

Who you’re dealing with: Dream Studio USA, Inc., a Delaware corporation in Dover, Delaware; some policies also name Dream Studio LLC and Tektopia Ltd. The Terms of Service (last modified 26 August 2026) include binding individual arbitration and a class action waiver. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing trust@ourdream.ai within 30 days of first accepting the Terms, with your name, account email and a clear statement.

What happens when you cancel

Your images and videos are blurred until you subscribe again. That includes community packs you paid coins for. The help center suggests downloading anything you want to keep before you cancel. Your content is unblurred if you come back.
Deleting your account is permanent: generations, unpublished characters, chat history and unused coins are all deleted, with no refund. An active subscription is cancelled automatically. Processing takes 24–48 hours.

What you can do

Create a companion: female or male, in a realistic or anime style. You set face, body, hair, clothing and accessories, plus personality, interests, communication style and voice.
Chat and roleplay with your own characters or with public characters made by other users. Text between asterisks is treated as an action. The chat follows you in other languages if you ask.
Memory: OurDream says companions remember past chats.
Images, editing, video and voice calls, all paid in coins (see the table above).
Commercial use of what you generate is allowed if you created it and it follows the rules (help center).
No native app: you add the site to your home screen from Safari or Chrome.

Privacy and safety

Your chats can be used for training. The Privacy Policy (last modified 26 August 2026) lists user content, including chat communications, among the data OurDream collects. It says the data can be used to “train our artificial intelligence/machine learning models”.
The homepage claim doesn’t match the policies. The homepage FAQ says chats have end-to-end encryption and “no one can read them, not even us”. The Prohibited Content Policy, though, says an AI moderation filter scans conversations and staff may review flagged content manually. I’d go by the policies.
Your public characters can outlive your account. If a character you set to “Public” becomes popular, OurDream may keep it active even after you delete your account.
Licence: you own your characters and generations, but you give Dream Studio a perpetual, irrevocable licence to use them, including to promote the service (Terms of Service).
Content rules: the Prohibited Content Policy bans content resembling minors and content depicting or impersonating real people without their consent. It also bans non-consensual scenarios, incest, bestiality and several extreme fetishes. You can’t upload reference photos “due to possible deepfakes and other legal problems”. Public characters go through a review that usually takes up to 72 hours. Depending on where you live, you may have to verify your age with ID or a face check.
Scope of this review: some of OurDream’s browse filters use labels that don’t sit well with its own ban on content resembling minors, so I only cover adult, original characters here, and I’d skip anything that isn’t clearly adult.

Who OurDream AI is for, and who should skip it

It makes sense if you want chat, images and some video in one place and you’re happy with an annual plan: $119.88 a year includes unlimited chat and about 13,000 coins over the first year.

Skip it, or go monthly first, if you want to try before paying (the free tier can’t generate anything), if you mainly want long videos (a single 60-second clip uses more than a month of coins), or if you don’t want your chats used to train AI models.
